1. What This Service Is

FakeReceiptMaker ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our") is an online receipt template generator built exclusively for educational, entertainment, and demonstration purposes. The Service allows users to select from a library of store-style receipt templates, customize their contents, and export the results as images or printable documents.

Receipts generated through this Service are simulated documents. They are not authentic transaction records, they carry no financial weight, and they should never be presented as genuine proof of purchase. The Service exists to help designers, educators, filmmakers, software testers, and other creative professionals produce realistic-looking receipt mockups for lawful, non-deceptive purposes.

2. Who Can Use This Service

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use FakeReceiptMaker. By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must stop using the Service immediately.

3. Acceptable Use

FakeReceiptMaker is intended solely for lawful, non-deceptive applications. The following are examples of acceptable uses:

  • Design mockups and prototyping — creating receipt visuals for UI/UX design, graphic design portfolios, or client presentations.
  • Educational materials — producing sample receipts for classroom instruction, accounting coursework, financial literacy programs, or training modules.
  • Film, theater, and media production — generating prop receipts for use in movies, television shows, stage productions, photography, or video content.
  • Software testing and QA — creating test data for point-of-sale systems, expense-tracking applications, OCR software, or receipt-scanning tools.
  • Personal organization and record-keeping aids — recreating the approximate details of a legitimate purchase you actually made, for your own personal reference only.
  • Business presentation demos — illustrating concepts, workflows, or product features in pitch decks, sales demonstrations, or internal documentation.

4. Strictly Prohibited Uses

You agree that you will never use the Service, or any receipt generated through the Service, for any of the following purposes:

  • Fraudulent returns or refunds — presenting a generated receipt to any retailer, merchant, or service provider in order to obtain a return, refund, exchange, or store credit to which you are not entitled.
  • Forging financial records — submitting a generated receipt as a legitimate expense report, reimbursement claim, or financial statement to an employer, client, government agency, or any other entity.
  • Tax evasion or tax fraud — using a generated receipt to fabricate deductions, inflate expenses, or otherwise misrepresent financial information on any tax filing or audit.
  • Insurance fraud — submitting a generated receipt as evidence in support of any insurance claim.
  • Deceiving any person or institution — presenting a generated receipt as an authentic record of a real transaction with the intent to mislead, defraud, or manipulate any individual, business, or organization.
  • Any other illegal activity — using the Service in any manner that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your account and access to the Service. We reserve the right to report suspected illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

5. Your Account

Creating an account is optional. You may use the Service as a guest to generate watermarked receipts without signing up. However, certain features — such as saving templates, accessing download history, and exporting watermark-free receipts — require a registered account.

If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly at support@fakereceiptmaker.app if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently disable any account that we reasonably believe is being used in violation of these Terms, with or without prior notice.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

FakeReceiptMaker offers both free (watermarked) and paid (subscription) tiers. Paid subscriptions unlock watermark-free exports and additional features.

  • All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not directly collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number or banking details.
  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or yearly, depending on the plan you select) and will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial-period refunds are issued.
  • We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified at least thirty (30) days before any price change takes effect on their account.

7. Intellectual Property

The source code, visual design, user interface, logos, and all other original content comprising FakeReceiptMaker are the intellectual property of FakeReceiptMaker and its operators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.

Store names, brand logos, and trademarks that appear within receipt templates belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion in templates is for the purpose of realistic simulation in educational, entertainment, and demonstration contexts only, and does not imply any affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship. You retain ownership of the content you create using the Service. By using FakeReceiptMaker, you grant us no rights over your generated receipts beyond what is necessary to provide the Service to you (for example, temporarily rendering your receipt on our servers for export).

8. Service Provided "As Is"

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We make absolutely no guarantee or representation that receipts generated through this Service will be accepted by any person, business, institution, or system for any purpose whatsoever — because they are not real receipts.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FakeReceiptMaker, its operators, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or any other intangible loss.

We are not responsible for any consequences that result from your misuse of the Service or from your decision to use a generated receipt in any manner that violates these Terms or applicable law. You alone bear full responsibility for how you use the receipts you create.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the total amount of fees you have actually paid to us during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FakeReceiptMaker, its operators, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the Service;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Any claim that a receipt you generated caused harm to a third party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to a violation of these Terms or suspected illegal activity. Where practicable, we will attempt to provide notice before or at the time of termination, but we are not obligated to do so.

You may cancel your account and stop using the Service at any time by contacting us at support@fakereceiptmaker.app or through your account settings. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including but not limited to Sections 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and this Section 11 — shall continue to apply after your account is closed.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users via email or an in-app banner. Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
